Employment Process
Thank you for your interest in employment with the Catholic schools in the Diocese of El Paso. The Office of Education processes all applicants for professional, support staff and school volunteers. Once all information is in to our office and verified, your file is activated. Principals seeking to fill positions in their school then go through the files and contact those they want to interview.

• Request for transcript form (The official transcript(s) from the college/university should be sent directly to the Office of Education)
PRINCIPAL OPENING: Our Lady of the Valley Catholic School, 4K-8th, in the Mission Valley area of El Paso is seeking a principal for the 2012-13 school year. Applicant must be an active, practicing Catholic committed to supporting the school's Catholic identity, have a masters degree in administration or master's degree plus 18 hours of administration/supervision experience, a minimum of 3 yrs teaching experience in the elementary school setting, fluent in both English and Spanish, and possess proven leadership ability in order to continue moving the school forward. Applications may be mailed to the Office of Education (499 St. Matthews Street, El Paso, TX 79907). Please be sure to include Principal Application, 3 Reference Forms, and Request for Transcript Form. The application deadline has been extended until the end of May.
Once all forms have been completed and processed, we will activate your file. Except for principal openings, the Office of Education does not publish a list of openings by school due to a high volume of applicants. If you are interested in a position, please complete all applicable paperwork and return it to the Office of Education for processing. Once all paperwork is processed, your name is given to principals seeking to fill a position.
All applicants must complete a Criminal Background Check at the Office of Education (includes fingerprint card, authorization form and directions if in state for the past seven years and/or authorization form for those who are out of state or country).
All school personnel (professional, staff, volunteer) must go through a criminal background check and attend the Sexual Misconduct and Safe Environment Workshop provided by the Diocese of El Paso.
